Although the site is screened by mature trees, there are fantastic views to the south towards Chatsworth and to Curbar and Froggatt Edges to the east with their great walking and fabulous views. Beyond Hathersage to the north are the wild heather moors, fringed by Stanage Edge, venue for world class rock climbing. There is also the Longshaw Estate, with its miles of easy walking
